Nerd: There is a wedding superstition that if you get a cat to eat out of your shoe a week before the day you'll have good luck. Hillbilly: We have a similar tradition with a possum. First you get a possum to eat out of your hand on the wedding day, and then you eat it. Nerd: That is the most disturbing tradition I've ever heard.
